On Monday February 29 2016, school students will be at the Parliament of Victoria for the 2015 My Vote My Voice awards and launch of 2016 program.
Josh Bull, Member for Sunbury, in the Legislative Assembly, will present awards. And two students, Victoria Waid and Diya John, who gave remarkable speeches at last year’s parliamentary event will give the vote of thanks on behalf of the awardees.
This year the My Vote My Voice theme is Women in Local Government in Victoria Past, Present, Future. Each participating school will receive a copy of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association Inc publication –The right to vote; the right to stand: The involvement of women in local government in Victoria.
